Frequently asked questions
How the inspection works, what the report contains, and how we stay compliant.
What is the difference between Swift Cruise and other drone service companies?
Swift Cruise is a brand under Opulence Management Limited, a government-recognized Professional Building Surveying Consultancy. Unlike a typical drone service provider, we combine Professional Building Surveying Expertise with drone technology and an AI-powered building defect analysis system. All inspection reports are reviewed by our in-house Registered Building Surveyors and endorsed by Authorized Persons (APs), ensuring a professional and reliable service.
What are the advantages of drone inspection compared with traditional manual inspections?
Drone inspections reduce the risks associated with working at height and eliminate the need for scaffolding, minimizing disruption to residents and pedestrians. Drones can also access façades, rooftops, and other hard-to-reach areas more efficiently, providing more comprehensive coverage. In most cases, a building inspection can be completed within one to two days, significantly improving efficiency.
Are your drone operations safe and legal?
Yes. We hold a Small Unmanned Aircraft Advanced Operations Permission (AOP) issued by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (CAD). All flights are conducted by licensed drone pilots, with detailed risk assessments carried out beforehand to ensure compliance with Hong Kong regulations and safety requirements.
Can inspections be carried out if the building is located within a restricted flying zone?
Before each inspection, our drone team assesses the building location and airspace restrictions. Where necessary, we can apply for the required flight permissions from the Civil Aviation Department and conduct the operation in full compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Will drone inspections affect residents' privacy?
Before conducting any inspection, we obtain authorization from the building management or owner and issue notifications where required. Property management teams will also inform residents or building users of the inspection arrangements in advance. We strictly comply with privacy and data protection requirements throughout the process.
Are all types of buildings suitable for drone inspections?
We provide drone inspection services for a wide range of buildings, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, schools, and public facilities. Based on the building structure and surrounding environment, we will assess the site and recommend the most suitable inspection approach.
What is included in the inspection report?
The report includes the location, type, size, and severity of identified defects, together with defect distribution plans, defect statistics, and visual charts. It also contains repair recommendations prepared by professional building surveyors to help clients understand building conditions and plan follow-up actions.
Are the inspection reports professionally endorsed?
Yes. All inspection reports are reviewed by our in-house Registered Building Surveyors and formally endorsed by Buildings Department Registered Professionals, ensuring their professional credibility and reliability.
How long does it take to complete the report?
The timeframe depends on the size of the building and the inspection scope. Most projects can be completed within two weeks after the inspection, and an estimated delivery time will be provided during the quotation stage.
